GC Event Hire is a family owned company servicing a large part of Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Our experience in Special Events Hire started 13 years ago, starting as a modest Party Hire Company. It was soon realised that with our own manufacturing and a little creativity and hard work that we could build a business that could compete well with some of the largest Special Event companies in the country.
In all projects that we undertake we endeavoured to work closely with the organisers and to assist were necessary and to give the flexibility needed to ensure a smooth flowing and successful event.

Schedule attached hereto is part of this contract.
Property in hired equipment shall remain in owner and shall not pass nor shall it be deemed to passes to hirer in any circumstances whatsoever.
Owner has no obligation whatsoever to insure hired equipment.
Hirer shall return hired equipment to owner in thoroughly clean condition. If hired equipment is not so cleaned, hirer shall pay the owner cleaning costs at a rate of $25.00 per hour.
Hirer shall return hired equipment to owner in as good condition and repair as at date hiring commenced. Hirer shall pay owner actual cost of replacement of hired equipment not returned or returned broken or damaged as to be economical to remain or other wise unrepairable, and cost of repairable broken or damaged equipment.
Hirer shall be responsible for safety and security of hired equipment whilst it is in hirer’s possession or control. Hirer shall indemnify and keep indemnified owner against all loss and damage to hired equipment occurring during period of hire.
Owner hereby puts hirer on notice that paper and dyes and other material used in manufacturing paper streamers, permanently damaged material used in manufacturing marquees. In particular dyes run from streamer material into marquee material causing permanent staining. Thereby marquee is so damaged as to render them unfit for the further use. Marquees and other similar hired equipment damaged in that way will be regarded by owner as unrepairable in terms of clause 6 of this contract.
Hirer will not use or operate or suffer to be used or operated any bar-b-que or spit or open flame or other cooking device in or close to any marquee included in hired equipment.
Hirer will give owner full and accurate details of all underground obstructions and rock base and or all installations for electricity and water and gas drainage and other things in or under site at which hired equipment is to be erected by owner when such erections is part of hire contract. If hirer fails to so inform owner of fails to properly so inform owner or misinforms owner then hirer shall be totally liable for all damage resulting therefrom. If hirer’s failure in that behalf results in delay in erecting hired equipment additional erection time shall be paid for by hirer to owner at rate of $25.00 per hour.

10. Hirer as relief on hirer’s own judgement in selecting hired equipment. Owner does not warrant fitness or suitability of hired equipment for purpose for which it is hired. Owner has made no representation to hirer as to such fitness or suitability of equipment. Owner is not apprised of purpose for which hirer has hired out hired equipment. Owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage (weather person or property) howsoever arising our of use of hired equipment during period of hire. It is the intent of owner and hirer that hirer shall indemnify owner and shall keep owner indemnified as hirer hereby promises to do, against all and any such liability in respect of damages and costs and charges and expenses in respect thereof.
11. Hired equipment shall be used by hirer at site specified in schedule hereto and at no other site without owners express written permission being first given. Use of hired equipment off site so specified shall be deemed as unlawful conversion by hirer of hired equipment.
12. Hirer shall be on site specified in schedule when hired equipment id delivered there by owner and when hired equipment is collected from there by owner, if hirer is not on site specified at time of delivery or collection owner shall unload or load (as the case may be) equipment in hirer’s absence. Then owner’s assessment of quantities and condition of hired equipment delivered or collected by owner in hirer’s absence shall blind hirer.
13. Hirer will stack hired equipment ready for collection on site specified in schedule at a position which is readily accessible to owners collection vehicle.
14. Hirer will ensure that owner has full free and lawful right and ability of ingress and egress and regress to site and position on site at which hired equipment is located or positioned from time to time and at all times by day and night during period of hire.
15. Owner shall be at liberty to remove or recover or retrieve hired equipment at any time before, during and after period of hire. Owner shall be at liberty to terminate hire at any time before, during and after period of hire.

16. Hirer will pay owner invoice total specified in schedule hereto immediately upon receipt by hirer of possession of hired equipment.
Cancellation fee.
If cancelled prior to set up , but less than 7 days out a 50% holding fee applies.If cancelled after set up full cost applies.
17. Hirer shall be charge and be payable from commencement date until time at which hired equipment is returned to and in actual possession of owner.
18. Hirer shall pay owner total cost of cartage for delivery and collection of hired equipment.
19. Provisions of clause 10 shall endure not only for the benefit of owner but also for the benefit of owner’s servants, employees and agents and each of them.
